Hillsboro VillageThe Hillsboro Village neighborhoods are next to the campuses of Vanderbilt University and Belmont University, just South of Music Row. Comprised of two neighborhood groups, Hillsboro-West End, and Belmonth Hillsboro, this area, also known by its zip code ‘37212’, consists of a motley collection of early 20th century homes including Bungalows, Foursquares, Cape Cods, Colonial Revivals, and Tudor revivals. These neighborhoods were originally the ‘trolley car’ neighborhoods, some of the first suburbs. Now, they are considered urban, progressive midtown neighborhoods. With sidewalks, an and alley system, and numerous parks, including Elmington and Fannie Mae Dees Park (known as Dragon Park, for the impressive sculpture in the playground), and access to the neighborhood commercial district, these neighborhoods are now extremely popular. Hillsboro Village is one of Nashville’s most popular shopping and entertainment districts for both locals and visitors alike. Only a handful of blocks in total, it is packed with local restaurants (most notably the infamous Pancake Pantry), trendy boutiques, a local theatre, and a coffee shop. Hillsboro Village is also a very functional with its own US postal office, dry cleaners, jewelers and many more valued vendors.
