Midtown

Midtown is loosely defined as the area between Downtown (south of 12th Avenue) and I-440. It extends up West End and includes Broadway and Division Street areas. In the heart of Midtown is Vanderbilt University and Vanderbilt Medical Center. With undergraduates, graduate students, and faculty looking for more residential options in the area, many new mid rises and high rises have been built.

In addition to an abundance of residential options, Midtown has a wide variety of shopping and dining options. There are chains such as Stoney River, Ted’s Montana Grill, and Starbucks but also local spots such as Mojo Grill, and Tavern. There is always a lively scene in the areas right around Vanderbilt’s campus with Centennial Park close by. Centennial Park is a popular spot to stroll, walk the dogs, or lay in the sun.
