Meet the Agents of the CityLiving Group: Callie Hughes

In the coming weeks, we will sit down with the agents of the CityLiving Group to get to know each of them a little better. This week, we had a chance to chat with CLG’s newest agent, Callie Hughes, a Nashville native. Callie cherishes her Nashville roots and finds sanctuary along Nashville’s beautiful greenways at local restaurants and sporting events. Here’s what she had to say.

Q: How long have you lived in Nashville?

CH: My entire life – born and raised.

Q: What do you love about selling in the urban core?

CH: This is where I have lived my entire life. I have seen Nashville’s urban core evolve since day one. It’s fun to see new areas of town re-emerging and changing so much from when I was younger.

Q: Why did you decide to become a REALTOR?

CH:  I bought my first place in 2011 and fell in love with the process. I knew I wanted to get into some type of Real Estate after that. I started out in commercial real estate and quickly realized my passion was in residential.

Q: What is your favorite thing about the job?

CH: I love that I get to help people find a place where they are going to make so many memories. Being the start to something so special is really what drives me. I end up loving my client’s houses as much as they do by the time the process is over!

Q: What is your favorite restaurant in Nashville right now?

CH: Honestly, I’m not a huge “foodie.” I like consistent places that I can always count on. Bricktops is my go-to. And before it was Bricktops, there was a Houston’s in that same location — both yummy.

Q: Share a “hidden gem” with us that you visit frequently.

CH: The Richland Creek Greenway. I just moved over to that area and can hop on the greenway at the end of my street. It’s so great to have that green outdoor space in the middle of the city. It’s a great place to walk my dogs, exercise, or stroll over to the Sylvan Park restaurants. I think the whole greenway concept is an amazing idea and once the 440 Greenway is completed, I think it’ll bring a lot more walkability to Nashville as a whole.

Q: Where would we find you or what would you be doing on any given Sunday (aside from showing a house)?

CH: Sundays are my day with my nephew, Shook (3yrs) and niece, Mable (1yr). Our family gathers at my parents’ house for the day and hangs out.  During the fall, we watch football. My dad raised us to love just about every sport. We have had Titans season tickets since they came to Nashville and played as the Oilers at Vanderbilt, and we have had predators tickets since day one too. We’re proud to support our local teams.

Q: What area of town do you currently live in?

CH: I live off White Bridge Road in the Brookside neighborhood

Q: What do you love most about Nashville?

CH: The loyalty to this city. I love seeing people really trying to work to make this city better whether it be working to create affordable housing or improving the public transportation system. I love how much the city rallies around sports teams, like the Predators, when they are in the playoffs. I love seeing people care about our city.
