In the coming weeks, we will sit down with the agents of the CityLiving Group to get to know each of them a little better. This week, we had a chance to chat with CLG agent, Zach Brickner, a Nashville native and fan of all things Nashville (especially sports). Here’s what he had to say.
Q: How long have you lived in Nashville?
ZB: I’ve lived in Nashville my entire life, aside from the 4 years when I was away at college in Colorado. I’m a native Nashvillian.
Q: What do you love about selling in the urban core?
ZB: There are two primary reasons I like selling in the urban core. First, you can always see downtown Nashville in the distance. Nashville’s growth is one of my purposes for being a part of the real estate industry, so it’s kind of like a boss watching over my work every day. Secondly, I am a huge fan of walkability, so I like selling what I believe in!
Q: Why did you decide to become a Realtor?
ZB: There are a couple reasons — First, it plays to my strengths of being social and I also enjoy connecting with people. Secondly, I love Nashville and know it well, so this was a great way to give back and contribute to its future. Lastly, it’s flexible enough that I am able to pursue other important community endeavors around the city.
Q: What is your favorite thing about the job?
ZB: The flexibility and not being married to an office all day is a huge benefit. There is also a lot of variety when it comes to real estate, and that makes it more exciting. I get to see Nashville’s various vibrant neighborhoods on a daily basis.
Q: What is your favorite restaurant in Nashville right now?
ZB: Chauhan Ale & Masala House is my favorite primarily because I just discovered it. It’s by far the best Indian food I have ever had in Nashville, and it usually isn’t too crowded. I definitely recommend it to people who are looking for somewhere different but delicious in town.
Q: Share a “hidden gem” that you visit frequently?
ZB: Greenhouse Bar in Green Hills. It’s a little bit off the beaten path for tourists but there are many nights a week that you can catch me there snacking and watching sports.
Q: Where would we find you or what would you be doing on any given Sunday?
ZB: Maybe watching football at a bar in midtown or Green Hills, but most likely you would find me on the golf course. I have been getting better at golf recently, so I have been playing more often. It’s a positive feedback loop.
Q: What area of town do you currently live in?
ZB: Germantown. It’s the best.
Q: What do you love most about Nashville?
ZB: The sense of community. It’s still got the small town feel where collaboration is encouraged, and I love that.
Q: Anything else you want to share?
ZB: The Nashville Predators are one of the best things about Nashville, especially if you’re a sports fan. The atmosphere and leadership are second to none. You should go grab a cheap ticket and go to a game if you’ve never been.
