Every December, members of the CityLiving Group get together to celebrate the holiday season. The lunch has become an annual tradition that the team looks forward to. The team shares lunch at a local restaurant and plays “Secret Santa.” This year, the team celebrated another successful year at Gray & Dudley.
In addition to the annual CLG team lunch, we wanted to know what other holiday traditions team members look forward to. Here’s what some of the team had to say.
We have had a tradition, for years, of having a ‘dirty Santa’ party at Village with the entire Village/Core staff and the broker team. Everyone draws a number, and the first gets to choose a gift. The second can then steal that gift, or choose a new gift. The game proceeds until all gifts have been distributed. The party can get a bit rowdy, and people really love to ‘steal’ gifts, and protect what they have. It is a lot of fun to watch and a great tradition.
My in laws give us and the grandkids new pajamas on Christmas Eve, then we do Red and green pancakes Christmas morning. Also exciting!
My family usually goes to a late night, candle lit church service proceeded by dinner at Ruth’s Chris…. pretty low-key but still a fun tradition nonetheless.
I have several family traditions. My brother and I exchange presents on Christmas eve before we go to bed. We have done this since we were kids. In addition, my in-laws host a caroling party every year on their street to raise money and awareness for fanny battle. We are all pretty terrible singers, but its a fun tradition and for a great cause.
Happy Holidays to you and yours from the CLG Team! What are some of your favorite holiday traditions?
