Walk 100 Miles with the Mayor (and the CityLiving Team!)

    100 Miles with the Mayor includes 18 events between Sunday, May 3 and Friday, May 22. During this brand new community-wide health initiative, Mayor Dean will walk, bike and paddle 100 miles across Davidson County over the span of 19 days.

    Mayor Dean is inviting community members to join him to be active together and to learn about the many greenways, bikeways and waterways available to them. More information and the full schedule of events are at www.Walk100Miles.com. (Schedule subject to change.)

    • Southeast Community Center Walk on Thursday, April 9, 12 p.m. Noon: 2 miles.
    • Stones River Greenway Walk on Sunday, May 3, 1:30 p.m.: 3.5 miles. Parking available at Kohl’s, 2330 Jackson Downs Boulevard. Walk will start at Kohl’s trailhead.
    • Stones River Paddle on Sunday, May 3, 3 p.m: 3.5 miles. Parking available at Kohl’s, 2330 Jackson Downs Boulevard. Take-out will beat Heartland Park.
    • England Park and Richland Creek Greenway Walk on Wednesday, May 6, 6 p.m.: 3.5 miles. Start and end at West Police Precinct, 5500 Charlotte Pike.
    • Mill Creek Park Walk on Wednesday, May 13, 6:30 p.m.: 3.5 miles. 6691 Sunnywood Drive.
    • Jefferson Street Walk on Thursday, May 14, 4:30 p.m.: 5 miles. Start and end at Hadley Park, 1037 28th Avenue North.
    • Bike to Work Day on Friday, May 15, 7:30 a.m.: 5 miles, ending at Public Square.
    • Downtown Walk on Friday, May 15, 12 p.m. Noon: 3.2 miles. Start and end at Public Square.
    • Tour de Nash Bike on Saturday, May 16, 8 a.m.: 9 miles. From Morgan Park along the Metro Center Greenway.
    • Fontanel Walk on Saturday, May 16, 2 p.m.: 3 miles. Hiking trails at 4225 Whites Creek Pike.
    • Percy Warner Park Walk on Sunday, May 17, 1 p.m.: 5 miles. Hike will start and end at Percy Warner Clubhouse.
    • Percy Warner Mountain Bike Trail on Sunday, May 17, 3 p.m.: 2 miles. Ride will start and end at Percy Warner Clubhouse.
    • Gulch/SoBro Walk on Monday, May 18, 12 p.m. Noon: 3 miles.
    • Harpeth River Greenway on Tuesday, May 19, 6:30 p.m.: Bike, 10 miles; Walk, 3 miles.
    • First Tennessee Park Walk on Wednesday, May 20, 4:30 p.m.: 3 miles.
    • 28th Avenue Connector Walk on Thursday, May 21, 7:30 a.m.: 2.25 miles,
    • Shelby Bottoms Nature Center on Thursday, May 21, 6 p.m.: Bike, 17 miles; Walk, 3 miles.
    • Downtown Bridges Walk on Friday, May 22, 12 p.m. Noon: Finale walk, 3 miles.
